Bibhusan Basnet and Pooja Gurung have been making films for the past 10 years. Their short films, The Contagious Apparitions of Dambarey Dendrite (2013) and Dadyaa – The Woodpeckers of Rotha (2016) have been shown at prestigious film festivals across the world, including Venice, Sundance, TIFF, AFI, Busan, and Tampere. The Big Headed Boy, Shamans & Samurais (2020) is the duo’s third short film. Their first feature film, The Wholetimers, is currently in production.
