Nani is preparing for a dance performance in the upcoming National Children’s Day event at her school. Meanwhile, her mother gets a job making scarecrows for the fields of all the villagers. The job must be completed soon, but Nani’s mother cannot manage to do so while still taking care of her younger child. Hence, it falls upon Nani, the only girl among her three siblings, to take care of her younger brother. Eventually, she is forced to let go of not only her dream of performing at the event, but also her education, to help her family survive.
